The Trust Project

The Trust project, now in its fourth month is a training programme run in partnership with the Community Organisation Forum, City University, CASS Business School and Tower Hamlets Council.

The aim of the programme is to show how the use of simple language can be effective for organisations making funding bids. It also aims to demonstrate to participants that they should have confidence in their own abilities.

Launched in November 2007 by the Trust, the project was initially planned for a duration of five months but has now been extended an extra month to cover additional material. The final workshop of the project will now be held this month.

The training sessions have already covered topics such as project planning and information gathering. Mentors, mainly from News International, and the students – people from various community organisations in Tower Hamlets - have responded positively. The one-to-one mentoring structure adds a unique dimension to the training project.
