We are delighted to welcome this long established grantmaker as one of London Funders’ newest members.
The Charity was set up through the charitable bequests of Thomas Edwards and John King in the seventeenth century and today the endowment helps individuals and organisations working with people in need living in the old Metropolitan Borough of Fulham.
Support includes the supply of essential items to residents on low incomes who may be referred by social services and other local welfare agencies or who may apply direct.
Areas of support include:
- assisting people in training for employment
- grants for running costs, or for projects, to local organisations which help people in need
- supporting summer schemes for children who would not otherwise have a break during the summer holidays
- providing a meeting place for local organisations at charitable rates through their premises. Groups can also apply for grants towards hire costs.
Our contact is the Clerk to the Trustees, Vivienne Robb, whom we heartily welcome on board.
