National investment in workforce and ICT

On 20 February the Board of Capacitybuilders considered the priorities for investment in relation to workforce development and ICT in the third sector and the decision was made to launch two priority work programmes from 1 July 2008.
The investment will include three-year funding support for NAVCA's SKILD programme and one year's initial investment into Rural-net's development of net:gain centres. Find out more about these two new programmes.

Strengthening Social Enterprise

Since taking over the management of Changeup in April 2006, Capacitybuilders has been working to involve social enterprise at every level of their programme.

Their strategy for strengthening the social enterprise sector is to improve the quality, sustainability and reach of the support services available. These include areas like training, financial advice and marketing consultancy, and are provided by diverse organisations across the country.
