Note from the Editor

Welcome to the May edition of the London Funders e-bulletin and another exciting and long awaited summer in our glorious capital city!

Highlights in this edition include:

  • All that’s new on London Funders’ summer events and project groups and updates on recent meetings
  • The latest news from our members including new reports from New Philanthropy Capital on domestic violence and support for the elderly, The City Bridge Trust's 'Dragon Awards' and Capacitybuilders' new database of ChangeUp funded activity
  • Forthcoming member and sector events covering a whole range of key topics from aspects of trusteeship, governance and charity law to strengthening local economies and communities through enterprise

The London Funders office has been a hive of activity over the last two months, involved amongst other things in preparation for our largest member event so far, on funding for young people (20 May) at City Hall. Nearly 80 members and guests took part and heard excellent speakers and workshop presenters. You will be able to see a full update on this meeting shortly, on the London Funders homepage: www.londonfunders.org.uk
